Cangelosi´s craftsmen utilize the combination of state of the art machinery with old world artistic hand work to provide the highest quality stone work for custom homes. Kitchen countertops, bars, butler’s pantries, bathroom shower walls and ceilings, tub decks, vanities, hand carved fireplaces, slab stair treads and risers are among the surfaces Cangelosi provides. Internationally recognized, Cangelosi´s custom fabrication meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the Marble Institute Of America.
Most slabs Cangelosi imports are polished 2cm (3/4”) or 3cm (1 ¼”) slabs. Some materials can be honed, antiqued, brushed, flamed or sandblasted on the surface in the plant. Standard edges include polished, bullnose, waterfall and beveled edge. For custom tops, ogees and special custom edges can be produced to match almost any edge or profile desired.
Granite: Primarily made of quartz, feldspar, mica and potassium. Granite is usually darker in color and provides a heavy crystalline and granular appearance with mineral grains. It is a very hard material and is easier to maintain than marble, yet is still porous and will stain. Granite is a very durable material that mainly comes polished, but may be honed, flamed and sandblasted.
